I designed a qualitative research study, drawing on lesson reflections, recorded lessons, a mock test, informal student interviews, and relevant literature review. Findings from these sources reveal five key issues: vocabulary overload, unclear expectations, difficulty generating ideas for complex questions, vocabulary loss for less-practiced topics, and challenges with self-studying at home. To address these issues, an action plan was proposed, including reducing new vocabulary, incorporating contextual practice, designing review lessons, and guiding students on assessment, note-taking, and self-study.
