He is a greaser (gang member) their enemy the socs and their fighting over their territory. In the beginning it talks about the prison that Mare was in. After, Maven who spare mercy to her and declare her as the royal prisoner. She was kept in a prison that had silence stone which is a stone that can cancel your powers making you power less to use your powers. The story goes off of each  someone perspective.  Like how the main 3 characters are Mare, Cameron, and Evangeline. After, the heroic rescue from the Scarlet Guard and a little help from Evangeline, they were able to help Mare escape the prison. Once Darkstalker arrived everything seemed off and how everyone seems fine with him and not surprise that he arrived. In fact everyone seems friendly to him. Turtle's friends seem to think so too.
