The debate held in the morning was unforgettable and impressive. This was my first time to be an English debater. At the beginning, I felt really nervous; during the debate, I sort of enjoyed it; at the end, I thought it was worthwhile that I gave a try. Plenty of ideas and opinions put forward by my classmates are thought-provoking. Sharing ideas with each other, especially by debating, is one of the effective ways to learn and to remember knowledge. Besides, I think activities such as debating or leading discussion can practice both CALPS and BICS. I really enjoy the time and collaborations we have in this classroom.

I am very grateful to the active participation of each classmate. From the performance of my group members, I feel the power of unity. In the collective, we assign tasks according to each person's strengths so that everyone's ability can be exerted. Team members can help each other, correct each other, and make progress together. From the opponent's debater, I saw full preparation and innovative ideas like magic. Actually, before the debate, I thought that the subject of this debate was more beneficial for us, but the opponents did an excellent job. Using the innovation and connecting sight scene, they found many problems that we did not consider. And that is the reason why the debate is stimulating and fierce, and the two sides have come back and forth. 
However, I believe that through this debate, this topic has no absolute positive or negative views, because all parties have specific reasons from different angles. I think that the purpose of the debate is not to distinguish right or wrong but to learn views of both sides and to rethink more dialectically. Being a neutral mind, with its own thoughts, is also a big step forward.
