1. Yes, this workshop taught me useful painting knowledge and techniques. One thing I have learnt is tracing, where we thinly outline our sketch. I think that would be really useful for other art pieces.
2. I think the advantage painting has over photography is that we can put our own emotions and feelings into paintings. For example, if we are feeling sad, we can paint with a blueish tint to show that.
4. I found paint the coconut tree the most challenging as the leaves are so thin. I overcame it by using the fine hairs of the brush to draw thick strokes.

Yes, I used to think that sketching was really tedious and difficult, but now that I know to view my canvas in quadrants and see the dimensions accordingly, the sketching process is actually very enjoyable.
2. We have the freedom to choose what colours/textures we want in painting compared to photography. We also choose what details we want to dilute/exaggerate. Our emotions can be conveyed easier and more significantly.
3. Take things slow, stay peaceful and happy. Your pace of life is determined by you! :)

There is more freedom in painting as compared to photography, as you are able to depict and express your opinions freely, in your own style.
