I used to play with my brother and our friends. We rode bikes, played baseball, and played volleyball, but we only did it on weekends because our mom did not let us play from Monday to Thursday since we had to study.

I attended to the church with my mom and siblings from a young age. When I was 10 years-old, the church needed help in the Sunday school, and at that age, I started teaching Bible classes to 3-4-year-old children. As that group grew, I continued to be their Sunday school teacher. I can identify that experience as what led me to be interested in becoming a teacher. But when I entered university, I ended up bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences because my dad wanted me to become a doctor. Without telling anyone, all my elective courses were in education, and when I graduated, my first job was as a science teacher. I never looked for another job because I fell in love with education.

I have a PhD in Education with a specialty in teaching and a master's degree in educational administration. Four years ago, I moved to North Carolina because my family had lived here for over 20 years, and I had been living alone in Puerto Rico. Four years ago, I decided to move to Morrisville, NC.

In Puerto Rico, I held various roles in the education field, including science and math teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools. I also worked as an academic dean and chancellor at a private university, where I taught courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the teacher preparation and graduate education programs. Additionally, I obtained certifications in Project Management, Educational Quality in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Design and Administration of Courses in Virtual Environments in Panama. I am passionate about learning, traveling, and spending time with my children, who are my motivation.
