In the United States we lost our optimism when Wall Street Crashed, on October 29, 1929. The Great Depression started the downward economic spiral that led to bankruptcies, mass unemployment, homelessness, and hopelessness. One way people coped was by playing cheap bored games, kick the can, and simply talking to others because that was soon the only thing people could afford. </div>]]></description>
