Confirmation also allows us to begin a new faith journey. Through the sacrament of Confirmation we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Confirmation first started when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus's disciples. The Holy Spirit guided them to spread the life and ministry of Jesus. Some symbols of  Confirmation are the Sacred Chrism, laying on of hands, and fire.
