Two federal judges said Friday that the Trump administration must tap into billions of dollars in emergency funds to at least partially cover food stamp benefits for tens of millions of Americans in November.

The rulings from judges in Massachusetts and Rhode Island reject a controversial US Department of Agriculture’s claim that it could not use a contingency fund, which the agency says has $5.3 billion remaining in it, to help cover the benefits amid the month-long government shutdown.

The ruling came as a federal judge in Boston, in a separate case, ruled that the Trump administration's attempt to suspend SNAP funding is "unlawful," but declined to immediately order that the program be funded." This results in the court asking for the administration to be forced to keep the funding for the benefits.

An over 100-year-old jar was found in Melbourne, Australia, on a beach. The jar contained 2 letters from soldiers who served in WW1. The letters were written by Privates Malcolm Neville, 27, and William Harley, 37, dated Aug. 15, 1916.
