She recently found out about a curse she received which lead to being locked into an isolation room, alone, for 264 days. This is due to her not knowing how to use her powers until later on. On the 265th day, she got a room-mate (cellmate). The first time to speak to and see a human being in a long time! 

This book was published on November 15th, 2011. It is classified as a dystopian thriller.

I definitely recommend you to read this!

This is based of WW2. Mengele was the 'Angel of Death' since he did horrific experiments on children and twins to 'research' about how twins are made, medical illness and endurance. These horrific experiments happened in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest camp consisting of Jews, Polish people and many other innocent people rounding to a total of 1.1 million people just from Auschwitz alone.
