A person without the sensation of peer pressure would be completely incapable of living in a group, and being a constructive member of society.

I think it depends on what kind of peer pressure you're talking about. If it's constructive peer pressure like to compete against each other, it can actually be a motivation to perform better or make positive changes (I experienced this in my major). But if it's destructive peer pressure I think it can lead to negative feelings about one's self and push them to do something they don't feel comfortable with.

In the worst cases, this may also lead to the limitation in creativity since they
are most likely changed into a regular average joe.

There is no doubt that peer pressure can lead to a lot of things, be it negative or positive. It's pretty much a common knowledge these days and I will not go into that. Instead, I think 'lack of originality' and 'identity crisis' deserve just as much attention when it comes to peer pressure. Come to think of it, how could teens find their own identities if they surround themselves with those who are also suffering from identity crisis? In terms of the lack of originality as individuals, I think doing the things your friends do and go to places they go isnt always a wise decision. After all, everyone has different talents and passion and if they take a wrong path because of their friends, who is it to blame? :)

peer pressure leads to anything, either good or bad. as a matter of fact, peer pressure itself, directly or not, takes place in peer's development. lets say that if the peers were soldiers, the (peer) pressure was the training moments so that they can develop themselves to be tougher and braver to face the war, or we can say when they become adults, where experiences and strong mentality are needed. this, i am talking about good peer pressure.
after all, good/bad peer pressure (in my opinion) depend on the peers. would they take the pressure around them as a good one or a bad one. if the pressure does not do any good to him/her, then leave. but if the pressure helps him/her to be a better person, then stay, and fight.

Basically, if you put pressure too much whatever it is, it's going to explode. In this case, depression until insanity, in the worst case. Be yourself can be one of prevention of peer pressure.

One may learn to influence. One that succeeds with the pressure, may most likely be able to give her peers: pressure.
