Humans can become seriously ill, and can even die from the effects of acid rain. One of the major problems is that acid rain can cause human beings respiratory problems. 
2)What are some of the direct effects of acid rain on humans? Are there any health problems associated with acid rain?
Health problems that humans can get are Asthma. And along with asthma, dry coughs, headaches and throat irritation. 
3)What are some of the indirect effects of acjd rain on humas?Does acid rain affect our sources of food, aater and air.
The indirect affect is that when fishes get poisioned by the acid rain and the humans eat the toxic fish, they get the toxics in their body

Acid is made from Sulphur dioxide which comes from burning coal,oil and natural gas in power stations making electricity and Nitrogen oxides which come from burning petrol and oil in vehicle engines.
We measure the acidity of the rain by measuring the concentration of hydrogen ions in the rain.
PH stands for power of hydrogen. It is the measure of acidity and alkali.
The Ph range is from 1-14. PH 1-gastric acid, PH 2-vinegar, PH 3 - soda, PH 4 - acid rain, PH 5- black coffee, PH 6- milk, PH 7- pure water, PH8- sea water, PH9-baking soda, PH10- milk of magnesium, PH11- amonia solution, PH12- soapy water, PH13 bleach, PH14- liquid drain cleaner.
The PH of normal rain is PH 6 and it becomes acidic at PH3-4.
Solutions to acid rain:
We can use flu gas in chimneys to desulphurise, we can fit catalyic converters ti vehicle exhausts which removes the nitrogen oxides, we can limit the number of cars on roads and increase public transport and we can remove sulphur from crude oil by reacting it with hydrogen. Acid rain also effects the roads, highways and bridges as well. It causes them to corrode and become weaker. Acid rain can affect the transport as metals objects would corrode and cause damage to the rails, roads and structure of the vehicles.

In terms of money it would be rather expensive but with the help of the government we could probablt cover the cost.

Ans 4: A patented coating system that is both weather proof and acid-proof has been created for use on old or newly constructed buildings.
Ans 5: Adding limestone to neutralize acid waters and soils from fluctuations in pH.

Alternative Solutions:
Reduce the amount of electricity. Switch off lights when not in use!
