I have been teaching health economics for about 8 years now. I am a Nigerian and a lecturer in economics department of Kaduna State University.

I teach undergraduate students and masters students health economics and I taught post graduate in health economics (PGDHE) some years ago

My undergraduate and masters student audience are from core economics background who have decided to offer the course as an elective while the pgdhe students are mostly from other disciplines who are interested in the field of health economics.

From my local institutions context, Presently, we have few lecturers with specialisation in health economics in my department but I have a good support system with senior colleagues who are my mentors with specialisation in various fields of economics such as econometrics , environmental economics, International, financial and development economics. I also collaborate with them in interdisciplinary research.

From the National context however, My undergraduate curriculum is structured in such a way that it is guided by the National University Commission's (NUC) benchmark and course content requirements for all Universities in Nigeria. Therefore, the challenges in these contexts is quite minimal for me
