Obviously, though hongjoong appears human, it is actually a vessel that he’s possessing— one of his victims, who was a vile, atrocious murderer, known for taking human lives remorselessly and mercilessly. The story goes that, this man made a deal with hongjoong in order to avoid getting caught— and in turn, hongjoong would take his soul.

The plan worked. That night, just as the police were banging on his door, the deal was made. The aftermath was a bloodbath by a soulless entity possessing a human body.
