On Monday, Teddy took a very special tour of all our classes to begin getting used to his new school family. We were so proud of all the children, who were incredibly respectful, calm and quiet, helping Teddy feel safe and comfortable as he explored his new surroundings. ❤️🐶

Throughout the week, lots of children have enjoyed popping into the office to say hello while Teddy settles into school life. He has loved meeting everyone and receiving plenty of gentle smiles and kind words! 😊🐾

You may also have spotted Teddy out on the quad, where he has been busy taking care of his all-important "number 1s and number 2s"! 😂💩🚶‍♂️🐕 The children have found this very entertaining and Teddy is certainly keeping us all smiling and laughing! 🤣😆

Thank you to everyone for being so thoughtful, patient and caring towards Teddy. He is already becoming a much-loved member of the Leigh St Peter's family and can't wait for more adventures next week! 💙⭐🐾

One of the highlights has undoubtedly been Teddy’s first week in school. It has been wonderful to see how caring and considerate our children have been towards him. Many children - if not all - have taken time out of their day to come and say hello, check that he is happy, and make him feel part of our school family. I have been especially proud of how thoughtful the children have been when Teddy has needed a much-needed puppy nap, making sure they are calm and quiet so he can get the rest he needs. He has already brought so much joy to our school community, and we are looking forward to watching him grow alongside our children.

Next week promises to be just as busy and exciting! It is Cycle to School Week and we would love to see as many children and families as possible travelling to school by bike or scooter where it is safe and practical to do so. It is a fantastic way to stay active, support our environment, and start the school day positively.

Don't forget, we’re also holding our Coffee Morning on Thursday from 8:50am to 10:30am. We’ll have a range of organisations and support services joining us, offering information, advice and guidance for families. Whether you’d like to speak to someone about support available, find out more about local services, or simply enjoy a brew and a friendly catch-up with other parents and carers, everyone is warmly welcome!

On Friday, we will also be taking part in Wear Something Yellow Day in support of YoungMinds, helping to raise awareness of the importance of children’s mental health. We look forward to seeing a sea of yellow around school as we come together to support this important cause.
