Our Open Days will take place on the following dates:

• Unit F2, Sheddingdean Industrial Estate, Marchants Way, Burgess Hill RH15 8QY

• Wednesday 28th October 2026 – 4:00pm–7:00pm

• Saturday 21st November 2026 – 9:00am–1:00pm

• Wednesday 17th February 2027 – 4:00pm–7:00pm

Students do not need to arrive at a specific time and can attend at any point during the allocated times on their chosen Open Day. They are very welcome to bring along their parents or carers.

A final chance to join Girls Journeying Together this year

Girls Journeying Together is a year-long monthly group for girls aged 10–12, run through the local not-for-profit Rites For Girls, creating a safe and supportive space for girls to navigate the changes and challenges of growing up.

🌸 A supportive space to talk, connect and be themselves alongside other girls

💛 Explore topics including friendships and peer pressure, big feelings, puberty and periods, beauty standards and body image, and the social pressures of growing up

🌱 Build confidence, self-worth, resilience and belonging

📍 The Nest, Heaven Farm, Danehill
🗓️ Sunday mornings, 10am–1pm, monthly
👧 For girls aged 10–12 / Year 6 & 7

Want to see if it’s right for your daughter?

The first session is on Sunday 18 October and can be attended as a taster session, so your daughter can experience the group before deciding whether to commit to the year.

This is the final opportunity to join this year’s group. After 18 October, the group will become a closed group, with the next new groups starting in autumn 2027.

We have had a great week here at school, culminating in school photographs today. It was especially wonderful to see our Year 11 tutor groups together for their last ever Chailey School photographs! There has been another great week of sport here at Chailey, a range of theatre trips as well as a real buzz with rehearsals for Bugsy Malone. We are very fortunate to have such committed students here at Chailey, and Grace in Year 8 is one of those who has gone above and beyond by winning a competition to meet Jacqueline Wilson (see article). 

On another note, I want to remind families that students need to be in full uniform each day. If for any reason you are struggling, please let us know and we will do everything possible to remove barriers and will help with uniform wherever possible.
