Talk together: Why would camouflage help Roz on the island?

Sink or Float?

BrunosClass — 2026-10-14 15:03:36 UTC

Brightbill had to learn how to move and survive in the water. Now it’s your family’s turn to experiment. Find 5 small household objects that are safe to put in water. Before putting each one into a bowl or sink of water, have everyone predict whether it will sink or float.

Have a Campfire Celebration

BrunosClass — 2026-10-14 15:05:06 UTC

Choose something your family can celebrate! It can be big or small, such as finishing a book, doing well in school, or simply being together! Build the paper campfire, get cozy, and celebrate! Share your celebrations in the Padlet!

Draw and Build Brightbill a Nest!

BrunosClass — 2026-10-14 15:07:08 UTC

Can your family draw Brightbill and build a safe nest?

Use items you already have at home, paper, cotton balls, craft sticks, leaves, string or other materials to design and build a small nest that could keep a pretend baby gosling safe.

Bonus: Take a picture of your camouflage creation! Send in a printed copy for us to display, or add it to this padlet.

Paper Airplane Flight Challenge!

BrunosClass — 2026-10-14 15:08:44 UTC

Make a paper airplane together. Park a starting line and see how far you can make it fly. There are ideas on our website!

Bonus: Change one thing about your airplane - fold the wings differently, add a paper clip, or change the size. Does it fly farther?

Show us in our collaborative Padlet!
