The original 5 × 5 grid was replaced with a 3 × 7 grid to match the Pro-Bot mat. The five participating countries—Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland and Romania—and the original eco-mission cards were retained, preserving the activity’s European and environmental focus.

The programming tasks were adapted to the Pro-Bot’s command system. Instead of programming movements through simple grid-based steps, pupils plan their routes and enter movement distances in centimetres and turns in degrees. A general programming worksheet was also developed to support pupils in planning their routes, recording commands, testing their programs and debugging errors before trying again.

Through this adaptation, the original learning objectives are maintained while pupils engage with programming in a different technological environment, developing computational thinking, problem-solving and debugging skills through the eco-missions.
