● Title: Plating the Color's.

Hello, my name is Joslyn Garza.

I was inspired by Mexico's ceramic cups and plates because of the colorful patterns and details designed within the ceramic's. I love to create colorful art because in recent times - the world can feel somewhat dull.

It means a lot to me in different ways; I get to embrace myself and succeed in the hobbies I truly love. I want people to see the colors I use and feel wide-eye. I want to bring attention to detail to the face expressions use. (In some of my art I use different face expressions: I mask the art with colors. Though, using a colorful pallet can bring illusion that the art is Radiant, even when the face expression is not.)

The world through my eyes are colorful - no matter the context. 💜

I use Digital to create this masterpiece.

I created this artwork to show how human seals and butterflies are more similar than we think. The main purpose of a cell is to be made; travel to another part of the body ,and slowly die. And The butterfly's purpose is to be born; to fly a certain distance, lay eggs ,and then slowly die.

This picture came from observing a star in the sky while contemplating different aspects of civilization, people, and their influence on the Earth.

This piece represents how I perceive the world in an abstract form. I want people to just observe and take what they want from it.

​I drew this piece inspired by the song "Tek It" by Cafuné. One specific lyric stuck in my head:

"I watch the moon."

This lyric inspired the concept for this drawing.

​I usually draw in an anime style, so stepping out of my comfort zone was a real challenge. Despite the difficulty, it was a lot of fun to create, and I hope you like it! This piece took about four hours to draw, but I think the result was completely worth it!

Something that inspired me to take this photo is my passion for meteorology. As Reed Timmer’s catchphrase goes, “Never Stop Chasing”—it also applies to stuff outside of meteorology. It’s to never stop chasing your dreams, what you love, what you are influenced by. I also really like how this storm afar put on an interesting lightning show and had an anvil top. Of course, I wasn’t close enough to get struck (maybe). I wanted people to notice how the cumulonimbus cloud stretches vertically, but at the very top, something stretches horizontally (called an anvil top as previously mentioned). I wanted that to depict how sometimes life goes up, up, up—but then things go sideways. You don’t really have a choice sometimes but to go one way when you’ve hit a limit.

I am a 16 year old self taught artist and practice multiple different medians of art whether traditional or digital. Being a full time artist is my dream.

This is a piece I made of the series Pursuit of Jade which is a favorite Cdrama of mine. I made it using colored pencils only.

My name is Raine Culwell and I love making paper dragon puppets.

My inspiration for this paper dragon was the crystals and gems I had. I wanted to incorporate them into a dragon and this is what I came up with!

I created this paper dragon out of paper, hot glue, tape, popsicle sticks to hold it up, crystals, gem stickers, colored pencils, and markers.

I think my paper dragons are cool because I can actually put my hand in the dragon so it’s mouth opens and closes.

This is my interpretation of ‘through my eyes’.

Through my eyes this world is something we’re constantly fighting to thrive in. I put that into perspective through this image: an individual (me) lost and forced to struggle in an overwhelming world, fighting to escape the chains of confusion.

Lyrics (English) -

Dark is the night (interpretation - we are lost in the dark—confused by this world)

Bullets whistle through out the steppe (interpretation - the challenges life throws at us)

We only hang by a wire (interpretation - the feeling of uncertainty)

The stars dimly shimmer (interpretation - but that little hope we have keeps us persistent, we march on like a soilder)

my mom loves hibiscus flowers so i thought it would be important to show a drawing i made for her to the school. drawing is how i let go of my worrires and it helps me stay calm in stressful situations.
