I love linguistics, languages and discovering different cultures, so spending some time in Italy will be a fantastic opportunity to get to know Italian culture a little better (and to taste it too, of course!).

I’m really excited to be travelling with you and sharing this experience together. I hope you’ll make the most of every opportunity, step outside your comfort zone and, most importantly, use as much English as you can. Don’t worry about making mistakes (this is exactly the kind of experience where you can put your English into practice in real-life situations).

This Padlet will be one of our main resources before, during and after the mobility. Here you’ll find useful information about the trip, practical details and anything else you may need. My name is Kerstin and I’m a friendly and curious person. From October 4th to 11th, 2026, I will have the opportunity to experience Erasmus in Spoleto, Italy.

I am excited to discover a new culture, meet new people, improve my English and enjoy Italian traditions and food.

I am very grateful for this opportunity and hope to return home with new experiences, friendships and unforgettable memories.

I think it will be a great experience for me.

I decided to take part in this Erasmus programme because I am a nature lover, and this type of experience involves important values such as taking care of our planet, animals, and ecosystems in general. Nowadays, I think it is very important to become aware of these issues because we are experiencing huge changes in different habitats around the world: wild animals are disappearing, temperatures are rising, and ecosystems are being affected.

Spoleto is an opportunity to learn, share our different points of view, and come home with a lesson learned. I hope that lesson will be to take better care of our planet, both for ourselves and for future generations.

I am sure it will be a fantastic trip, and I am very excited to share this experience with the animals. I love them! And, paradoxically, from a very early age, one of my dreams has always been to have a farm. In two weeks, I will be living there!

I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and always learning something new. This experience is something I never imagined would happen to me, so I’m really excited to live it to the fullest.

I can’t wait to improve my English, connect with nature, learn about sustainability, meet new people and apply what I learn to my daily life. I also hope to share this knowledge with the people around me, especially my daughters. 🌱💚

I live in the countryside, where I grow my own fruit and vegetables, so I am especially interested in learning more about sustainability,discovering new ideas and ways of protecting the environment.

I was very interested in participating in this Erasmus programme since I've always enjoyed nature and animals. When I found out we were going to a farm, I couldn't believe it, since I have always been comfortable in this environment. When I was a child, my aunt lived in a big house with some animals like dogs and chickens, and I always remember that time with joy and happiness. For that reason, the opportunity to have a new experience in this area is super interesting for me.

I am looking forward to learning as many things as possible about nature, ecology, Spoleto, and Italian food and traditions. My main objective is to share all my learnings with my family, friends, and the people around me. Also, I'm very happy to have the chance to improve my English in a different context.

I have been working as a journalist for 35 years and as a university professor for the past eight. I am excited about this new English language immersion experience, which takes place in an environment focused on ecology and environmental sustainability.

For years, I worked as a communications manager on European nature-related projects led by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. Currently, I manage communications for another international project focused on marine protected areas.

I hope to make a significant contribution to this new challenge in Italy, forge new friendships with my fellow participants, and learn as much as possible about organic farms and—above all—about English, a language I love.

I’m really happy about travelling to Spoleto with my classmates, friends, and our friendly teachers .staying on a farm, where we’ll have the chance to take care of animals, learn more about nature, and experience something completely different.

For me, it’s also a great opportunity to practise English every day. I’ll be able to speak English with the people there, learn new things, and hopefully become more confident when I speak.

I think it’s going to be a really nice experience, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with everyone.

I’m Jean. I’m very happy to go to Italy with you. I know Rome because I have been there twice, but Rome is wonderful and there are lots of things you can do and see.

I like sightseeing in the city without making too many plans and finding places off the tourist path. The Trastevere district is very popular and is located on the other side of the river.

I have never been to Umbria, and I’m very excited to discover this part of Italy. I have no idea what life is like in this region because people usually visit the big cities, such as Florence, Milan, and Naples.

I hope that at the agriturismo, I will learn how to cook a special meal and practise my English a lot with you.

I’m looking forward to being there!

I'm 33 years old and I'm a English student on EOI Telde.

According to the mobility, I am very thrilled with this trip, I want to discover some dishes and go for a stroll around the ranch. Because I love walking and admire nature.

I'm really into photography, so I hope to take some pictures to animals, landscapes and ancient architectures.

Besides, I look forward to learning in our English classes to improve my communication skills.

I am very excited to start this experience. When I was young, I really wanted to go on Erasmus, and after a “few” years, I finally did it! 😄

First, we had a bit of bad luck with our first flight because they had to change our plane. Even though we thought we weren’t going to make it, in the blink of an eye we were already arriving in Rome to catch the train and finally get to Fiumicino.

On our first night, we had a really delicious dinner. Andrea and I, for example, who are writing this, had carbonara and Bolognese pasta, and it was incredible. Then, some of our classmates had an ice cream while we were looking at the Trevi Fountain at night.

Today has been exhausting because we walked around 20,000 steps, but it was also great because we spent the day together. We did different presentations in pairs in English at the different historical monuments, and we learned quite a lot.

After we finished, we went to have lunch on our own. Andrea and I had a focaccia and a traditional cannelloni, and we also explored some of the most hidden streets of Rome. It was beautiful, but also quite tiring.

We are very excited about everything we have experienced and about being part of this amazing experience, especially because tomorrow our adventure in Spoleto begins.

In the morning, we took a train from Rome to Spoleto.

When we arrived, the Agrileisure family — Suzanne, Julia, Nicolo and Antonio — welcomed us. They were very kind and friendly!

They showed us some beautiful places in Spoleto, like the castle, the church and the aqueduct, and told us a little bit about the history of the city.

After that, we went to the farm, went to our rooms and had our first English lesson. 📚

Finally, we enjoyed a delicious dinner with our classmates. 🍝🥂

During the first part of the lesson, our teacher Leticia introduced us to some new grammar topics and explained them in a fun and easy way. We also enjoyed a coffee break , and then we put our grammar skills to the test with different exercises and entertaining group games. We had a great time and, of course, there were plenty of laughs!

After a delicious meal, we started our afternoon activity. It was a really fun and interesting experience because we had the chance to get closer to animals and nature and see the world through a child’s eyes. We were also lucky enough to discover the future Agrileisuretime project, which the purpose to recover abandoned land and bring it back to life as beautiful Truffle fields.

To finish the day, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner, talked, laughed and shared some great moments with the whole group before going to bed.

Another amazing day full of fun, new experiences and unforgettable memories! 💕

Today was cloudy and sometimes rainy, but the atmosphere was warm ,full of energy, and many new experiences were waiting for us.

We had classes with teachers Julia and Susanna in the morning and in the afternoon . doing different exercises in class made the day even more enjoyable.

We also visited the winery, where Julia and Susanna explained to us how they make their own wine every year. Later, we chose different plants and, with their help, learned how to make different kinds of flavoured salts using natural ingredients. It was a very interesting activity because we learned something new and had the opportunity to work together.

It was another interesting and enjoyable day. We had a wonderful time learning, sharing new experiences, and taking part in the activities together.

We also had a short break; Bruschetta, coffee and juice. In that moment, we ordered some products from the farm to take home with us.

In the second part of our class we did some exercises to practice more about the topic.

Therefore we visited Stella, the mare, she is very friendly and we took some pics.

In the workshop we learnt to gather some herbs to make tea or for some recipes like Ravioli. After that, Susanna and Julia taught us how to make pasta and that's we had for dinner.

This Erasmus experience in Spoleto has been truly wonderful and has exceeded all our expectations. It has been a unique and unforgettable journey, full of learning, laughter, new friendships and special moments that we will always cherish. From the very beginning, we felt warmly welcomed and at home, thanks to the kindness and hospitality of our hosts, the farming family, the wonderful teachers, especially Susanna and her team, and everyone who made this experience so special.

Throughout our stay, we had the opportunity to improve our English through an immersive experience in the heart of nature, while also discovering Italian culture, enjoying delicious food and learning a little Italian along the way! More importantly, we gained valuable knowledge about ecology, sustainability and the importance of protecting our planet. This experience has helped us understand even more clearly the need to promote environmental awareness and encourage people to take care of nature and our world.

The teamwork, the friendly atmosphere and the patience, enthusiasm and kindness of everyone involved made every activity enjoyable and meaningful. We have shared knowledge, exchanged ideas, learned from one another and, above all, built wonderful connections with people from different backgrounds. We leave with new skills, unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation of the importance of working together towards a more sustainable future.

We are incredibly grateful to the Erasmus Consortium for giving us this amazing opportunity and to everyone who contributed to making this journey so special. We hope to put everything we have learned into practice, step by step, and continue spreading the values of sustainability, environmental responsibility and international cooperation.

We came to Spoleto to learn, but we are leaving with so much more: beautiful memories, new friendships, inspiration and a feeling of belonging. This experience has changed us for the better, and we couldn't have asked for a better group of people to share it with.

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for this incredible experience. Spoleto will always have a special place in our hearts. And who knows? Maybe it's time for another Erasmus adventure soon!

Looking at this photo of ants working tirelessly on such dry and cracked soil, I couldn't help thinking about your project. Even in the harshest conditions, nature always finds a way to move forward. To me, these ants are a small symbol of hope for the restoration of that beautiful natural landscape in Umbria.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time you dedicated to us during our visit. What you shared went far beyond organic farming and environmental conservation. Your passion, your respect for nature, and the love you have for the land were truly inspiring and deeply moving.

As an Erasmus student, meeting people like you is one of the most valuable parts of this experience. Your words will stay with us for a long time.

I wish you the very best of luck with your new truffle-land restoration project. I am sure it will become another wonderful example of how nature can thrive when it is cared for with patience, knowledge, and dedication.

Please continue sharing your wisdom with young people for many years to come. The world needs more people like you.
