A very special mention must go to the newest members of our Leigh St Peter’s family - our Reception children! They have now all joined us and are settling beautifully into life at school. We have absolutely loved welcoming them through our doors, seeing their smiling faces and beginning to get to know each of their wonderful personalities.

Already, they have shown such confidence and independence as they have explored their new classrooms, made new friends and begun learning the routines of our school day.

It has also been a particularly exciting week for some of our oldest children as we have appointed our new Prefects, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Head Boy and Head Girl. It was a real pleasure to award these important roles and to see the pride on the children’s faces. These positions are not simply about wearing a badge; they are about being role models, showing kindness and responsibility, helping others and representing the values of Leigh St Peter’s every day.

We have incredibly high expectations of our pupil leaders, and I am confident that they will rise to the challenge. I am looking forward to seeing them develop their leadership skills, share their ideas and play an important part in making our school the very best it can be.

Across the whole school, there has been such a positive atmosphere this week. Classrooms are busy, purposeful places, friendships are growing and our children are already showing us just how much they are capable of achieving.

Thank you, as always, to our wonderful staff for everything they do to make our school such a happy and nurturing place and to our parents and carers for your continued support. Most importantly, well done to all of our children for another fantastic week.

Two weeks in, and what a brilliant start we have made! I am incredibly excited about everything that lies ahead for the Leigh St Peter’s family this year.
