While my primary language is English, my cultural language is Gaeilge (Irish) and one of my favorite sayings is anam cara which translates into soul friend (a term for a friend, family, mentor etc. who you have a very deep connection with).

I think in the context of this day a great saying would be '' Tire-toi une bûche''. Litteraly, it means take yourself a log( goes back to taking logs to sit). Which means take a chair and sit with a group. Or sometimes it is just used to say come and sit to join the rest of us.

The photovoice presentation offered specific questions and steps that can be used to facilitate this activity within groups and classrooms. I appreciated this tangible takeaway.

Shirley's session on facilitating better meetings through group work offered some wonderful insights I'll be applying in the future.
