Our group discussed that the new FEAPs will impact teacher evaluations and observations/feedback. Additionally, it impacts the induction and mentoring programs. Out of field certification and college preparation programs are also impacted. Leaders will need to align feedback to teachers to the new FEAPs.

-Start reviewing the FEAPS, get to know the new FEAPS, begin creating a crosswalk between the old and the new.

-Bring in HR (Evaluation), Professional Learning, and all other stakeholders to begin initial discussions of next steps.

-Partner with local IHEs

-Bring in thought partners to assist with the transition.

-There is a lot to do! :)

We are all at a similar point of beginning on this journey with the new FEAPS. We are excited to see the timeline for implementation and appreciate the list of suggested work shared by FAU. Some of the new teacher preparation requirements will be easier than others to incorporate.

We have questions: Will there be a recommended observation tool from the FDOE? Updates or alignment with current tools?

When created a crosswalk - noticed that items were moved around, perhaps prioritizing certain elements.

The progression plan can help with coaching and feedback.

Is there a state timeline with a certain checklist that guides district to ensure all that need to have a seat at a table (ie Clinical Ed, PD, etc) are at the table to build things out.
State had told me that implementation was set for 28-29. is that true?
Connections to FELS.
How should it exactly look. We have a 20% additive Deliberate Practice with look fors for FEAPS currently, etc
