Short Description

"The Magic of Berries: Nature, Art and Flavors" brings together students, teachers, and

parents in a shared autumn journey focused on nature exploration, creativity, cultural

traditions, and geography. The project integrates children's well-being by combining

outdoor physical activities, sensory nature exploration, creative art workshops, and healthy

habits. Partners will explore regional autumn berries, conduct scientific experiments, share

family recipes, and collaborate on a joint song.

Georgia is the country in the Caucasus region on the coast of the Black sea.
Georgia is an amazing cluster of cultures, regions, fasinating landscapes and ancient history.
My school is 100 years old. I t is located in dimi village, Baghdati Municipality, Imereti Region, Georgia. The school aims to create a student- centered learning environment that supports learners' interests and abilities, provides quality education, promotes modern teaching methods among teachers and students.

Let’s pack our bags with imagination, creativity, curiosity, a spirit of adventure… 

and, of course, our biggest smiles!

I joined eTwinning in 2008, and since then I have taken part in many international projects. I really enjoy working with teachers and students from different countries, sharing ideas and learning from each other. Many of my projects have been awarded National Quality Labels and European Quality Labels.

I am a creative and active person. I love languages, literature, poetry, theatre and travelling. I also enjoy meeting new people and discovering new places and cultures. I believe that learning should be interesting, creative and full of new experiences.

I am very happy to be part of eTwinning because every project gives me a chance to learn something new, meet wonderful people and, most importantly, give my students new opportunities to communicate and learn about the world.

I am looking forward to working with all the project partners and students!

I’m a kindergarten teacher, and I truly cherish the time I spend with my little learners. I’m always looking for ways to bring a fresh breeze of creativity, innovation and inspiration into our classroom and to challenge ourselves to discover, create and become a little better every day.

I absolutely love eTwinning for the wonderful opportunities it offers: the chance to collaborate, to exchange ideas and good practices, and, above all, to meet inspiring colleagues beyond the familiar borders of my classroom and my country.

Although I have been an eTwinner for only four years, I’ve already had the privilege of working with truly remarkable colleagues on some wonderful, creative and inspiring projects, two of them as a co-founder. These projects have been honoured with National and European Quality Labels, but the greatest reward has been something much more precious: meeting partners who, along the way, have become friends.

Over the past few years, I have also discovered, rather unexpectedly, a great love for Technology and for the creative ways it can enrich my educational practice. And I must admit… I’m absolutely thrilled!

By taking part in eTwinning projects, we aim to discover other European schools and cultures, communicate, collaborate, and learn from one another.

We live in the town of Beclean, in Bistrița-Năsăud County, located in the historical region of Transylvania, in northern Romania.

Romania is located in Southeastern Europe. It is a picturesque country, home to the Carpathian Mountains, the Danube Delta, and the Black Sea.

I have been involved in eTwinning since 2012, taking part in various projects and training courses. I really enjoy eTwinning because it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and pupils from other European countries, share ideas and experiences, and discover new ways of learning together.

This school year, I teach a preparatory class of 21 pupils. I am very happy to introduce my young pupils to the wonderful world of eTwinning and to give them the opportunity to learn, communicate, and make new friends across Europe.

I am looking forward to working together and sharing wonderful experiences throughout this project!

Our school has been honoured with the eTwinning School Label 2025–2026, an important recognition that strengthens our commitment to collaboration, innovation, digital creativity and the European dimension of education.

For us, eTwinning is much more than a European programme. It is a way of connecting with “restless” and forward-thinking educators from every corner of Europe and beyond, exchanging ideas, creating together and opening new paths of learning for our children. I'm Svitlana. I'm an English Language teacher. I have been teaching English for 30 years, my students are 6-15 y.o.  I live in Cherkasy, our city is situated in the center of Ukraine. I am fond od travelling, reading, and growing flowers. I’m interested in project work, group work, collaboration with other teachers and the use of innovative methods (IT) in my classes.  I started working on eTwinning projects in 2016 and it's always been a fantastic experience that enhances my teaching skills. I believe that the participation in an eTwinning projects offers a lot of benefits for teachers, students and schools. Taking part in eTwinning, I can both gain knowledge on teaching from my foreign colleagues and present my own work, as well. I'm fond of coming in contact with foreign countries and their cultures. This way, I broaden my horizons and I adopt different teaching techniques which I can use in my own lessons.

Neapoli is located at the southernmost tip of mainland Greece. It is a small and beautiful place with a long history that stretches back through the centuries. Tonight, a student created personal descriptions of the countries closest to his heart – Ireland, where he was born and lives, and Latvia, his mother's homeland and the soil of his deep roots. In my opinion, the most valuable part is that the child thought, felt, and chose the words himself to describe what each country means to him. Everything else can easily be found on the internet, but such authentic personal insights are truly priceless!

A child's personal perspective, emotions, and even such everyday details as delicious cheese buns or sausages in pastry make these works genuine, warm, and unique.

Greetings from Greece!

As part of our project The Magic of Berries: Nature, Art, and Flavors, we held a special and fragrant creative workshop called "Berry Art". This time, we swapped traditional paints for pure, nature-made pigments — using blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, and cranberry juices /for example/!

Using a cotton swab stippling technique and brushes, the children explored how natural juices transform into vibrant artwork. Beautiful autumn berry trees bloomed and colorful baskets were filled on paper. It was fascinating to observe how the deep purple of blueberries and the bright pink of raspberries dried into unique, natural textures.

Nature is truly the best artist, and we loved discovering its colors in such a fun, hands-on way! ✨🍇

Peer Collaboration Task:

In order to encourage active interaction between partner schools, students will draw lots to select a partner school. They will then explore the berry paintings created by their peers from that school and invent creative titles for at least three different artworks. This collaborative exchange connects students across borders and brings a strong interactive element to our project work.

No extra digital tools are required for this activity. Of course, if you would like to create a special Canva collage or poster with your students' work, you are welcome to do so! However, for the main project documentation, please upload everything to our project Padlet.

Barberry (კოწახური) and Dog Rose / Rose Hip (კურნელა / ასკილი) are wild and cultivated berries common in Western Georgia and the Imereti region (including the Baghdati municipality and the village of Dimi).

Rose Hip-The fruit of the wild rose, which ripens in late autumn and has a bright red or orange color.Used to make vitamin-rich tea, jam, jelly, and herbal infusions.One of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. It helps the body fight colds and flu while strengthening the immune system.

Barberry-A thorny shrub that produces sour, elongated, red berries

• Used as a seasoning for meats (especially mtsvadi / shish kebab and kebabs).

• Used to make barberry sauce, dried berries, jam, and compote.

• Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. It has choleretic (gallbladder-stimulating), digestive, and immune-boosting properties.

• A Fun Walk Around the School Grounds

  Today, we took a short and enjoyable walk around the school grounds. The children observed a barberry bush and dog rose (rose hip). They excitedly picked some of the fruit, which was not fully ripe yet. It was an interesting, educational, and fun walk for everyone!

My name is Ahniia. I am 9. I live in Ukraine. I have a sister and a brother. My favourite berries are cherries because they are red and tasty and I love red colour.

I am from Ukraine. I live in Cherkasy. My city is beautiful. It is autumn now and it is rainy and cloudy but I like summer when it is warm and sunny and we have lots of berries. My favourite berries are wild strawberries because they are small and very delicious.

All berries are tasty. My favourite berries are black currants because they have a lot of vitamin C.

My favourite berries are gooseberries because they look like small watermelons. 🍉

This October, our young artists discovered the magic of painting with nature's own palette. Using autumn berries such as blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and even strawberries, they transformed white sheets into vibrant works of art. Rich shades of purple, red, and pink danced across the paper, while the sweet fragrance of autumn fruits gently surrounded us, filling the classroom with the scent of orchards, forest paths, and sunny harvest days.

Through this creative experience, children explored natural colors, engaged their senses, and celebrated the beauty hidden in the gifts of the season.
