Our First Day in Gold Class

We spent our first day in Gold Class, we spent some time meeting our new Teacher and Teaching Assistants and enjoyed lots of different activities. We did some counting with animals in Maths and some sensory rice play in Literacy to form the first letter of our name! We really enjoyed all of our new resources, especially our books and songs that we sat together and watched.

Our First Full Week in Gold Class

This week we spent time getting to know our friends, and started our new story for Literacy, ‘Whatever Next!’. We enjoyed a sensory story in Light Room and started to work on our Phonics.

In maths, we focused on our counting, using different tuff trays and messy play.

Our topic for the week is Space and Earth. So we looked at different ways to make planets and rockets in Art.

In sensory baking, we explored different fruits with Laura.

Week 2

This week, we continued our story, Whatever Next! We also continued to look at our space theme and looked at different planets and how we could recreate them in the sky.

In maths, we focused on bucket sessions that included different number objectives.

In sensory baking, we made cornflakes cakes with lots of chocolate, mixing and combining all the different ingredients before putting them in fridge to set!

In PSED, we did different turn taking games to try and build relationships with our new friends.
