Where would we be as a society without a nice open-air dinner on a wooden picnic table, under a beautiful shade tree with a delicious glass of wine??

One human impact caused by the Neolithic Revolution was a population explosion. The adoption of farming led to the settlement of people. This settlement, along with an increased food supply led to rapid growth of the human population and is still increasing today.

The biggest change brought about by the third agricultural revolution is the widespread use of genetically modified plants (GMO's). The use of these plants is a hotly debated topic. Many people believe that the GMO's produced now are either unstudied or unsafe. The use of GMO's has connected modern civilizations to third world countries with the premise of raising their standard of living. The attached video is biased to the view of GMO's being potentially unsafe, but is a fun one to watch.

This picture is a scene from the move The Hunger Games, but I can see the potential for our world to progress into something like this if we continue along our present path. In this scenario, societies are divided up according to specific roles designed to contribute to the government. The people are extremely oppressed. Food are resources are scarce for everyone except those living in the area of the central government.
