Developing genetic engineering, nanotechnology, and robotics into the field of medicine could create many new advancements in fighting diseases, and understanding the human body. I would expect to see humans live longer due to an increase in technology over time. I also imagine that advanced technological devices could become more accessable to more people over time, these devices could allow more people to be connected and improve their quality of life. It would be interesting to see a dissolution of the barrier between people and technology in my lifetime, but it honestly terrifies me. The reporter said that after a long period of separation, the country would have a shift in ideals that causes tensions making it impossible to reunite their internet with the rest of the world. I could see things like this only getting worse as technological development grows exponentially. As more and more valuable information is stored electronically we could begin waging wars over data or people's digital actions rather than the physical counterparts. Also, going back to my response for part 1, the more technology integrated into our lives gives new ways of controlling the masses.
