Two geographic features that impacted Mesopotamia. One was the "Fertile crescent " otherwise known as the " Land between rivers" It was important because it was a flat plain so that made it a good place for the worlds first civilization. Also the Tigris and Euphrates rivers were important because All of the water helped out so that there was a lot of crops for the Mesopotamia to have. Geography made Mesopotamia survive because without the Tigris river and the Euphrates river , And people could not survive without the water. And without the land forms between the rivers people could not have had a home , or water to make the crops.

Laws are important because without laws and people being told when they do bad things than Mesopotamia would not be a safe place. And if someone for example ruind there neighbors crops than the person who did it would have to pay to fix all the crops instead of the person who had there crops ruind having to pay for fixing it. So that is why laws are important. Hammurabi's code of laws tells me that Mesopotamia was a place that wanted things to be fair even if they aren't. Hammurabi's laws were important to Mesopotamia because with it Mesopotamia had more safety for one part and if you damaged or destroyed something that was not your-own then you have to pay for that so it is fair. It is important for today because some of our laws were based off of Hammurabi's. The laws did solve some conflicts that Mesopotamia had wanted to address. This form of government made Mesopotamia thrive because some of his laws included killing people if a certain law is broken but the other laws made it fair and it mane Mesopotamia survive.

class divisions

Some class divisions that were present in Mesopotamia were the high class, the middle class , and the low class of people. A possible job, skill for the upper class was that you could choose one of the jobs like scribes. For the middle class you could choose on of the jobs or if you didn't pay you bills then you would be a slave for three years. And for the lower class it is the same thing. Class divisions created in Mesopotamia so there would be someone on the top to make the laws and keep them in order. The benefits of living in the upper class is that your life would be a little easier than if you were on the classes lower because you get to make the laws. But if you were in the middle class than you would have it easier than the lowest class because merchants and people like that have a easier life than the slaves and others. The social classes made them survive because they survived but being a slave is really hard because you are a slave for three years and you are most times working in the field.
