At this moment I see the great value for me in the Teaching Excellence programme. I want to divide reasons to say this into two blocks: global and individual.
1) Our world is changing rapidly now and we have to accept it. It is particularly true for higher education. I want to be a part of the changes. TEP is a chance for me to understand the diversity of these possible ways of changes and provide them in my country. 
2) As for me, I want to be a professional, excellent teacher. I think, that learning is not only about a classroom. It is about a way of life and worldview. That’s why I need to improve such skills of an excellent teacher as creativity, open-minding, positive thinking, ability to learn from students, provoking them to think and act. I want to know about various teachers methods and implement them into our educational system. I think that TEP is the best platform for this.

Now, after having worked as a teacher for many years, I have to admit that I know practically nothing about 'teaching excellence'. What works excellent in one classroom, with one group of students,and with certain set of materials may go absolutely wrong in a different setting. Besides, 'teaching' itself is nothing if it doesn't include 'learning' - understanding how our learners learn and being a 'life-long learner' yourself, i.e. keeping developing both personally and professionally. One more thing my university course didn't provide me with is 'assessment excellence' - ability to measure how successful you are in your teaching, and how successfully you've led your students to their (and your) desired learning outcomes. This TALE (Teaching, Assessment, Learning Excellence) backs my plans and ambitions for the project span and beyond. Since the project is about enhancing TEACHING EXCELLENCE, I'm here to find out what 'teaching excellence' is and how it relates to 'learning excellence' and 'assessment excellence'.
