Working with a group of 20 or more different cultures, with different background, as a leader, I have to be mindful of what I say, what might not be seen as serious or a joke in my culture can be a huge offence in other countries. In order to be mindful, the first step is to be genuinely listen  and observe about other cultures. Everyone show their patriotism in different ways, some are low key and some are really high key, I need to proactively ask questions and talk to them whether it is appropriate to say/make jokes about certain things in their culture. Everyone should treasure their  difference as their asset. Sometimes, people are very insecure about their own self, and hence affect their confidence, which ultimately will show in the productivity of the company.  In becoming an inclusive leader, I want to keep reminding them that the difference in each of them is the best asset that one company can have and celebrate it as something that they should be proud of. By first showing them my consistent in wanting to be sustainable through reusable products that I will always bring with me so that they can see how a "green" person look like, also, compliment when they did something that is benefit for the environment as quoted by Daft (2015) stated that people love the feeling when leader praise them and make them feel good about themselves (p.378). But also clearly intolerant unsustainable behaviours so that they know my expectation. After the course, I am aware about what I good at, what I need to improve on and what should I eliminate or minimize in order to become a great leader, not only for my career, but also in my life.
