The author makes her character hard to find in the episode but explains how she herself in the inside feels and how her character can be expressed though that. For example, when the author uses the word “equity” it makes the sentence sound more detailed and specific. It gives the reader a better understanding on what is happening in the episode. He uses a great phrase. For example "My heart is sore but I must not be found sitting in tears here". She states that “her grief instead of heaven sent me”.(Homer 1101) She is grieving because she misses Odysseus. Her grieving is a conflict because she is having a emotional conflict inside and not outside. The author wanted her grieving though her words when she speaks about odysseus.
