The population started to burn and cut down the forest, to grow cereals.
During the Bronze Age, the islanders started metalworking, producing pottery and salt. 
After the population of Pre-Celtic in Britain, around the 700 BC the Celts began to arrive from Germany. They introduced the iron plough, wich made the coltivation more easier.

For about 15 generations Britain was part of the Roman Empire. The Romans were attracted by the rich agriculture of the South, tin and lead in the West. It is situated in South-West England and was built by the Iberians during the Bronze Age. Stonehenge consists of a group of huge stone slabs positioned in large circle. The stones are rare blue stones, now looking more dark grey because of some weathering effect. Moreover the positioning of the 7 -tons lintels must have involved a remarkable extra effort. Stonehenge may also have served as an observatory.
