Oliver called me in early so that we could go through the footage and decide what needs to be re shot with the available days we have been given. We made call sheets for two shoot days at both Duke street and Warwick street because certain footage needed to be reshot because it didn’t look good in the edit and didn’t follow along to the plot of the film. 

 

We went back to Duke street to reshoot scenes that the editors felt needed to be re done. This screen shot is taken from the call sheet for this shoot. I ran the day shoots as head producer whilst Oliver was sorting the budgeting out. I kept an eye on the equipment whilst also keeping the cast and crew up to date with scheduling and making sure each of the shots was filmed. 

I was left in charge to run the shoot at ‘Victoria street’, but due to the weather constantly disturbing the shoot after I went to get umbrellas to keep the cast, crew and equipment dry. We had no choice but to resort to plan b and move the shoot where there was shelter so we went back to Duke Street because we had permission and a risk assessment for this. 

The weather eventually cleared up, but I kept equipment underneath a shelter in the event that it may have rained again. 

 

I had been assigned the role of Production Co-Ordinator for work on the short film, ‘Clickbait’ which required me to work alongside the Producer; Oliver Hill. This job required me to gather all the paperwork or jobs that Oliver specifically wanted me to do. Firstly, I gathered every bodies contact details so that they had access to a google drive where all the allocated documents were kept so everyone would have access to it; it was beneficial to get people’s numbers too in case anyone wouldn’t turn up to set on time and we could contact them. I went with Oliver and he gave me jobs to do including looking at how many locations are needed for the film and we sat together working how we could fit all the allocated places into a 10-day film slot we have been given for production which helped us create a rough filming schedule to give us an idea for which days all the scenes would be filmed on. 

Met with Megan (Locations), Eleanor (Props) and Martina (Hair and Makeup) to discuss where they were at with idea’s and budget etc. 

For the locations Megan had found and we could tick off, I began working on the risk assessments for those places;

·      Buile Hill Park (4^th March)

·      House for vlogs (Oliver, Natasha & Imogen’s houses) and additional parts (5^th & 8^th March) 

·      Victoria Street (Experiment scene) (11^th March) 

 

This helped us narrow down which locations we had left as we matched it to the schedule. 

 

Created an Instagram page for the film to update and promote the piece to the public by constantly posting production pictures behind the scenes of all the cast and crew. 

 

There was a bit of script re write and this was for Natasha to add a couple of scenes and label the script as much as possible so me and Oliver were able to know which scene which so when could make the schedule as specific as possible. 

I carried on with the risk assessments and sent the first one of ‘Buile Hill park’ to Clare to get it signed off due to it being our first shoot. Due to there being a three day in advance signing off for risk assessments, it’s a priority to get them looked at as soon as otherwise filming shoots won’t be able to go ahead. 

 

I began making the call sheets Oliver asked me to do. He asked me to do one for ‘Buile Hill’ and I emailed this today. 

I have begun working on the next call sheet for the 5^th which has multiple vlogs from different characters included so we had to decide a time schedule for that day as it is going to be a long shoot due to the multiple sections we need to film.   

Oliver asked me as production co-ordinator to lead todays shoot at Buile hill whilst he prepares the paper work for filming for the rest of the week which mean’s I was in charge to make sure the shoot ran on schedule. I paid for transportation to get the cast, crew and equipment on location in time and paid to get us back. 

 

*Shoot had to be cancelled due to the weather so we all had to come back to the Adelphi and re organise the cancelled shoot into the schedule without it affecting it too much. *
Changed it to Thursday 7th in the New Adelphi, create a set to look like tent is outside. 

 

To use the rest of the remaining day effectively, I began risk assessing the new locations we had managed to get for the upcoming shoots which are easier and accessible for cast and crew but remain appropriate to the narrative and setting of the story.  

Today we filmed in two locations filming the following vlogs for these respective characters;

·      Billie/Chloe – both bedroom vlogs

·      Mel/Laura & JJ/Oliver – Lip challenge

·      Remmi/Sotie – indoor & outdoor vlogs

 

Also, Cals/Louis backdoor shot was filmed at one of the locations. 

Due it being a long day and wanting to make sure everything stayed on schedule, we got certain shots done whilst actors required after got their makeup done ready for their scenes, so time wasn’t wasted.

Clare came to set and watched while we filmed the ‘lip challenge’ scene but we remained professional and got on with our respective roles to make sure the scenes were filmed. 

Assisted with equipment by setting it up and bringing it down from different rooms for the next shots to be filmed.

 

As today wasn’t a shoot day I just got on with paper work which Oliver assigned me to do. I sent a risk assessment to Mark fox for the day we film in the theatre and got the call sheet done for the 7^th March as it was our next day of shooting. The risk assessment for castle street was sent to Clare to make sure it is signed off days in advance.

I was given the task to get on with the call sheets for 11^th – 14^th March as we had the location for these shoots ready to go. Also, I got on with doing risk assessments for the 13^th and 14^th march too for these to get sent off to Clare to be signed off making the shoot ready to go. 

 

We filmed JJ’s (Oliver) interview, which is at the end of the script, that didn’t take all that long whilst we set up to film the opening scene that we were meant to film on Monday at Buile hill park but had to reschedule due to weather circumstances. To work around this, we had a den set up in rehearsal room 6 and set up lighting to have the set look like evening sunset outside. 

We filmed Leila’s scenes in her bedroom at Imogen’s house. I was given charge to run the shoot until Oliver arrived. Shooting didn’t start on schedule due to certain equipment being needed so certain crew members drove to New Adelphi to pick up these items. Once filming began, it started to pick up speed and we managed to finish on schedule.

The place we had planned to film didn’t work due to road maintenance interfering with the sound, so we found a second back up around the corner which served as our set. We still had some interference though but due to timing and scheduling, we needed to begin filming as soon as. I was left in charge whilst Oliver planned the next few days of shooting, finishing call sheets etc. we managed to get finished by 1:30pm despite overrunning due to the conflicts we began with. 

Due to us filming in a public place, it was vital that all the equipment and everyone’s belongings were looked after so it was my job to watch over it with cast and crew so that nothing was stolen. 

I went back to the Adelphi with Oliver to carry on with the paperwork making sure Clare had received the call sheets and risk assessments for the rest of the week and working out if any other paperwork needed doing. 

The weather was very poor at the beginning of the day due to it heavily raining but luckily as we were filming under a bridge, we were all kept sheltered so equipment, cast and crew were kept dry. There was a car park opposite to us, so we had quick access in packing up equipment when we went for a break at lunch.

 

*There was an issue with the SD card for sound as it had been formatted wrong which led us having to re-film the first scenes we did for the day. Luckily, these shots didn’t take long to reshoot as we all knew what needed doing and we worked as a team in order to get back on schedule. 

 

There was a point in the day where a battery got damaged by accident, so we had to stop shooting and go to New Adelphi to change it due to safety reasons. We had to break early for lunch due to this but we wanted to be safe and report the damage immediately so filming could get back on schedule.

We carried on filming from yesterday in order to do any pickups and reshoots that needed to be done but it had to be done in the evening. Clare was on set, so she was able to watch over us whilst we got on with the shoot. We filmed towards the evening due to continuity for the selected scenes that needed doing. I was told to keep an eye on the equipment so that no one would steal it due to us filming in a public place. 

Oliver left me in charge to run this shoot as main producer as he did the morning shoot in New Adelphi theatre. We filmed scenes between Leila and Cal on Warwick street and set up the scene to look where Cal was selling his art work. We shot this scene in the evening, so we all wrapped up warm due to the temperature and this scene was filmed in a public place, so we put all our belongings in cars nearby. 

Some members of the public did disturb multiple shots, so we had no choice but to keep re shooting until we got the perfect takes. Due to the time and scheduling, we all needed to be quick with the pick-ups and be sure we filmed on time. This was a success as we managed to get filming wrapped up by 8pm.
