People of British were so sure that the British was going to win but they didn't! I don't know how they did but AMERICA WON!! When they were at battle it was was like a kid (america) against an adult (British). even America was unsure that they were going to win. So now America has a lot more land, and controls more (has more power). Britain was force to leave america right away (you can read more about that in the next article). Also the U.S was recognized as independent. America was now the United States of America. But the British didn't want to sit next the American because they didn't want to look embarrassed, like losers, and finally ashamed. So, the painting was never completely finished.
