Significance: It is important that we dedicate time and focus to applying a race-conscious lens to AI and sustain a conversation that is undistracted by other topics related to AI. The impact on historically marginalized groups is real and should be centered.

Significance: Can Educators at MCC get free versions of AI tools or get reimbursed? i.e. I spent $240 last year just on my Chat GPT subscription and I would love to be able to use more tools for my classes.

How do educators keep up with the trends and modify curriculum fast enough to prepare students for the changes in the types of roles available? (Some jobs may suffer losses but new job roles may also be created as a result of AI.)

Significance: Phrases like "AI is here to stay" and "This tool will make our workloads efficient" are marketing slogans we are saying to each other that serve the interests of the companies poised to sell us AI products
