A punnet square is used to represent an individual’s genetic make up for a specific trait. This square reveals the probability of an individual inheriting the trait, carrying the trait, or not having it at all. Two capital letters means that you have the dominant trait and there is no chance of having the recessive. Rr means that you have the dominant trait but carry the recessive. And rr means you show the recessive phenotype.
