Donald Trump said that a Police officer wasn't investigating in where the shooting happened because he stayed outside. The lady was addresing was Donald Trump was saying and said that if people hear gunshots then the option would take is to run. And if you have a gun then you have the power to stop a shooting. The Lady's opinion on arming teachers with guns to stop school shootings is that teachers could turn on students. She made a point that teachers have training to be a teacher and that is a lot and they are adding on training to assess a school shooting. An they have to be comfortable with using guns and know what to do in when to engage the shooter. Some students want teachers to be armed with guns because they think they will be safe
https://everytownresearch.org/reports/analysis-of-school-shootings/

Teachers should be armed but they should take classes on how to actually shoot and aim well and they should only use it when there is actually a shooter and not aiming at their kids. BUt i also think that teachers shouldn't be armed because that's why schools have security guards and schools should have like this button that banks have when there is a robbery but a button for a school when there's like a shooter so that way they don't need to use there phones to call and there ain't any noise all you have to do is press the damn button and they should have like a button by there desk and there wouldn't be any noise and the shooter wont be able to hear anything. Schools should also have something in there class that can protect students or put students in like

(U.S. News/Teachers Should Be Allowed to Carry Firearms)
- Dave Workman, the senior editor of The Gun Mag and communications director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, said arming guards or teachers could act as a deterrent so that no one had to draw a weapon in the first place. (New York Times/Should Teachers Carry Guns?)
- Teachers who were qualified to handle a weapon — Mr. Trump estimated between 10 percent and 40 percent — would receive “a little bit of a bonus,” he said, adding that he would devote federal money to training them. (The New York Times/Should Teachers Be Armed With Guns?)
Cons;
- In the creation of the carceral state, in the expansion of drug laws, and in the extreme militarization of police in recent years, people have argued that placing more guns in the hands of authorities is the only way to keep people safe. But why would pro-Second Amendment enthusiasts be in favor of providing more firepower to the government? (The Atlantic/Arming Educators Violates the Spirit of the Second Amendment)
- Accidents happen. Guns can fall out of holsters, be taken from the classroom or accidentally discharge. (The New York Times/Should Teachers Carry Guns?)
- “You don’t want to have a gun that’s available to a student or another worker who may have mental health issues,” said Maureen S. Rush, vice president for public safety and superintendent of the Police Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Also, People aren’t wrong to note that gun violence recently overtook deaths by automobile a cause of death in the United States, but the important context is that both of those numbers have been steadily decreasing—which is a good thing!

One con reason is gun control efforts have proved ineffective.

Second pro reason for banning guns is the Second Amendment was intended to protect the right of militias to own guns, not the right of individuals.

EQ: Is removing guns the solution or is it just gonna make the students think that they're unsafe now?

Cons of having teachers armed in school:
-Having more guns would just cause more shootings and access to these guns. In order to control guns, you must limit them. Having fire arms in school would also cause students to feel less safe and more likely to be targeted if you are in a heated situation, you would always have to watch your back.
- What happens if the teacher doesn't lock it up right? A student could get it and it could be a 4 or 5 year old or it could be a 16 or 17 year old and it would cost more money that schools don't have to train teachers and what if the teachers use the training in the wrong way. Did you ever think of that?
- Why the heck would a teacher bring a gun to school!? The teacher may have serious mental problems plus anger issues. Plus some teachers might leave the gun unattended and the child might pick up the gun and play with it. And you know what happens when a child plays with a gun.
Pros of teachers being armed:
-Responsible adults who know how to handle a weapon properly should be able to carry with a conceled weapon permit. It's abserd to think that a good civilian with proper knowledge of weapons would leave the weapon on the desk or within reach of students. Conceled carrying permits means they are hidden so the student wouldn't even know.
- Teachers need to be able to protect their students. I do not believe in just giving some 🤬 teacher a gun. I think that the gun should be locked into a indastructable box that is only able to be unlocked in an intruder emergency. The principal would be informed when a gun is out and could unlock or lock the box if needed to
-Without the fire arms lots of people and children will be killed. Many schools have done it so why don't all schools carry weapons. Also the teachers would more than likely have to be trained. That would prove to adminastraters it is safe to let teachers carry guns in schools. In Sandy Hook Elementary school the weapons were brought in by an intruder. The children were not killed by a teacher.

http://www.debate.org/opinions/should-teachers-carry-guns-in-school
