Be the Sun, Not the Shadow

Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try, you’re still unseen? Like your voice gets lost in the noise, your dreams seem too far, and doubt follows you like a shadow?

I know that feeling too well. I used to watch others shine, believing I wasn’t meant to. I stayed in the background, afraid that if I stepped forward, I would fail. But then I realized shadows only exist because of light. And maybe just maybe I had light in me too.

So, I took a chance. I spoke up even when my voice shook. I dared to try, even when failure seemed certain. It wasn’t easy, and there were times I wanted to disappear again. But little by little, I started to glow. And now, if you are reading this and feel like a shadow in your life, I want you to know: you are not invisible. You have light inside you, waiting to shine. Fear and doubt will always be there, but like the sun, you can rise anyway.

Echoes of the Rain: A Silent Embrace

The sky was covered in thick gray clouds, and the air felt colder than usual. The cold air slipped through the gaps, sending a light shiver down my spine. From our second-floor classroom, I could see the wet rooftops glistening under the gray sky.

I sat in my chair, resting my hands on my cool desk. The sound of the rain made everything feel calm, almost sleepy.Looking around, I noticed that my classmates were quieter than usual—maybe the gloomy weather made them feel that way too.Our teacher’s voice echoed softly through the classroom as we push our pens on the paper. I felt calm yet longing,as if the weather wrapped us in silence.

Though the weather was dull, I found comfort in it.Despite the cold, there was a quiet warmth in the room,a feeling of stillness that made me appreciate the moment. As I stared out the window, watching the rooftops glisten under the drizzle, I felt a strange mix of calmness and nostalgia.
