Venus is the second planet from sun named after the Roman goddess of love and can be visible to the naked eye. Although mercury is the closest to the sun Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system because of its thick atmosphere and full of greenhouse gas  carbon dixode . The thick atmosphere traps heat from the sun making the planet very hot . It take Venus 225 days to orbit around the sun and 243 days to rotate once on its axis unlike other planet it rotates clockwise instead of anti clockwise
