5.      It is, compared to most other languages, quite easy to learn and easily pronounced.

According to Niall Ferguson, what has happened to the British Empire – and why?
”The British Empire is long dead” Ferguson claims that there once was great structure, and now there are bad economy and is not to be restored

List the consequences of the British Empire according to Ferguson
The economy buckled, the great creditor became a debtor, the emigration from Britain gave way to immigration into Britain. Christianity is stronger, though not in England itself, a greater structure of free capitalism has arrived.

What does Ferguson mean when he says that “no one would claim that the record of the British Empire was unblemished”.
It has failed to live up, to its own ideal of individual liberty. It has a filled up slate, for example by its slavery, transportation and the ‘ethnic cleansing’ of indigenous people.
