The Importance of Hadith

• 01 - The Definition Of Jibril's Hadith

⤷ Jibril's hadith is a hadith that contains the definition of Islam,Faith,Kindness and signs of the Day of Judgment according to the islamic creed. This hadith was narrated from a friend of Umar bin Al-Khattab. This hadith also is found in 40 hadiths of Imam Nawawi.

what is the meaning of Islam,Faith and Kindness ?

Islam is the religion of truth. It is the embodiment of the code of life which Allah, the Creator and Lord of the universe, has revealed for the guidance of mankind.

For example, as a Muslim, we must carry out the responsibilities that Allah commands such as performing prayers and fasting in the month of Ramadhan.

Faith in Islamic theology denotes a believer's faith in the metaphysical aspects of Islam. Its most simple definition is the belief in the six articles of faith, known as arkān al-īmān. The term iman has been delineated in both the Quran and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). So, we must guard our faith as best as possible so as not easily fall into immorality.

Kindness is an extremely comprehensive term that includes all acts of goodness towards others. It encompasses dealing with others in a goodly manner, perfecting something and doing it with excellence in order to please Allah, giving your best to people around you, fulfilling your duty as a good slave to Allah and a good person to His creation and so on and so forth. How to maintain kindness in our soul ? the answer is we just need to do good deeds. For instance, we do good deeds through dua such as make dua for peace and success to Palestine.

• 02 - The Importance of Hadith

-Studying hadith can help us to be ber-Adab in seeking knowledge.

-We can also refer to the hadith when we want to find knowledge

There are 4 types of hadith that we need to know the hukum before using it ;

Hadis Sahih : must accept and use it because it is totally correct

Hadis Hasan : can be used as a reference

Hadis Dha'if : can’t be used for proof but can be used to motivate ourselves

Hadis Mawdu' : can’t be used because it is totally wrong

How to be a servant that Allah loves ?

-Close our relationship with Allah

-Always praise the name of Islam

-Strengthen relationships with human

-Strengthen the soul and avoid sin

-Make ourselves true servants of Allah

what is the difference of Islam and other religions ?

⤷ Islam believes in only one God ( Allah ) . While, other religions believe in many God.

In Islam, there are three aspects of Tawhid that remind us that there is no God worthy of worship other than Allah.

1) Tawhid al-Rububiyyah = acknowledging that Allah is the only creator of the universe.

2) Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah = insistiny that only Allah is worthy of worship.

3) Tawhid al-Asma Wa al-Sifat = knowing that Allah has 99 names and various incomparable attributes.

Surah Maryam verse 65 :-

"Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"

meaning in this verse, we must worship Allah and always be patient. Besides, we also have to worship Allah with sincere intentions ( intention for Allah ). In this world, no one is as good as Allah !

-if we think that Allah has a beginning and end, it means that there is something wrong with our Tawhid.

Surah Al-Zumar verse 3 :-

"Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever."

meaning in this verse, if we do syirik, it is like we are syirik Allah. As a result, it will be difficult for us to return to Allah because our thoughts or sustenance have been blocked by Allah (more to the negative side).

-for example, there is someone who wants to bewitch someone, but if he fails, he will start to get angry.

• Belief in Angels

⤷ Angels are known as 'Malaikat', which are beings created by Allah from light. The purpose of their creation is to carry out Allah's commands. Moreover, there are many tasks assigned to each angel. For instance, the angel israfil is tasked with blowing the trumpet on the Day Of Judgment.

• Belief in the Holy Books

⤷ Islam teaches us to believe in the scriptures that Allah has revealed. There are four books in this earth:-

1) Al-Quran

2) Taurat

3) Zabur

4) Injil

• Belief in The Prophet

⤷ The Prophet are sent by Allah to guide humanity to always worship Him. Humanity must have guidance because we are servants lacking in knowledge. This helps us avoid syirik, not to worship other beings (such as animal and sun), and much more. The Prophet exist so that we realize the purpose of our life in this world.

one of the great Prophets is Rasulullah. We can follow the example and spirit of Rasulullah.

How to apply the characteristics of Rasulullah in our lives as students?

-cultivate good character such as being forgiving and loving.

-always be grateful, as everything that Allah decrees has its wisdom.

-learn to be tolerant. For example, when working on assignment, do not be a free rider or take credit from others.

-have the desite to repent if you make mistakes.

-make it easier for others.

-there must be harmony (do not judge others based on their appearance)

-do not do things that Allah has forbidden.

• Belief in the Day Of Judgment

⤷ On the Day of Judgment, all humanity will be gathered in the plain of mahsyar. Those who have heavy records in their right hand will go to heaven, while those who with heavy records in their left hand will go to hell. The Day of Judgment is very important so that we, as humans, have a sense of fear towards Allah.

• Belief in Qada and Qadar

⤷ This helps people accept the challenges in their lives because Allah has planned everything. 4 things of believing in Qada and Qadar are:

• Seeking knowledge

• All destinies are already written in the Lauh Mahfuz

• Accepting everything sincerely

• Allah is the Creator of all thing

Benifits Pillars Of Faith :

- having the spirit to believe in Allah

- being modest

- able to take good care of oneself

- able to get rid of bad habits

What does muhsin mean ?

⤷ Muhsin is a person who possesses the quality of Ihsan

Characteristics Of Muhsin :

1. Perform good deeds to others

2. Perform good deeds very well

3. Perform good deeds sincerely only for the sake of Allah

According to the Qur'an, there are 3 prophets who are the best examples acts with Ihsan.

• Prophet Noah

Surah As-Saaffaat verse 79 & 80

( 79 )   "Peace upon Noah among the worlds."

( 80 )   Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

-he is a prophet who has preached for hundreds of years.

• Prophet Ibrahim

Surah As-Saaffaat verse 104 & 105

( 104 )   We called to him, "O Abraham,

( 105 )   You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

• Prophet Yusuf

Surah Yusuf verse 55 & 56

( 55 )   [Yusuf] said, "Appoint me over the storehouses of the land. Indeed, I will be a knowing guardian."

( 56 )   And thus We established Yusuf in the land to settle therein wherever he willed. We touch with Our mercy whom We will, and We do not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.

-we should emulate the seriousness of Prophet Yusuf to become a leader

⤷ Muhsin teaches us that Allah will reward those who do good. in addition, a believer is not necessarily a muhsin, but a muhsin is certainly a believer. We should have the characteristics of muhsin in ourselves because we are caliphs on this earth.

What is Adab ?

⤷ it is an actual practice, ethic or trait that others can see.

What is Akhlak ?

⤷ the qualities that resite in our heart.

The importance of having manners and morals :

• become more skilled

• the image of Islam is well maintained

• take care of self-respect

• shows high self-esteem

"Adab is not only quality, it is also a prosess"

So, what is the process?

--improving our manners such as being disciplined and educated. Besides, change your behavior to be good and do actions that are in accordance with Islam.

for example, in Surah Maryam verse 41-45, we learn about the importance of keeping manners, gentleness, patience, and prayer in interacting with the family, especially when giving advice or inviting to goodness.

Alhamdulillah, from the 2nd to the 7th week I was able to meet new friends who were friendly and willing to give each other guidance. In addition, I also gained a lot of new knowledge about Islam, I kept feeling like "Oh Allah, why do I always forget this simple knowledge? Why did I never want to know about this knowledge? Is it so much of a sin that I don't want to learn this kind of knowledge? " . thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn new knowledge oh Allah..

to Sr Arifah, thank you for being a responsible faci, able to guide our classmates even though there are quite a lot of them. how to make practice as worship?

1) intention only because of Allah

2) don't judge someone's personality

3) fix your heart with istighfar

sincere: only Allah decides.

⤷ it is natural for humans to always want a reward. This is because they do not believe in Allah destiny. therefore, they will be quick to complain. But basically, Allah gives us a test because Allah misses us so much.

how to get benefits in worship?

⤷ pray that Allah recognizes us as his servants.

for example :

• prayer (intention for Allah sake)

• pious (fear of Allah)

• pious when fasting (you know that Allah is all-seeing)

• pay zakat (intend to spend the money for good use)

• perform Hajj (for those who can)

  -can feel the sacred situation there and ashamed to behave indecently.

"I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me".

there is a hadith about this matter narrated by Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet SAW said:

إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ صَلاَتُهُ فَإِنْ صَلُحَتْ فَقَدْ أَفْلَح وَأَنْجَحَ وَإِنْ فَسَدَتْ فَقَدْ خَابَ وَخَسِرَ فَإِنِ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ فَرِيضَتِهِ شَيْءٌ قَالَ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ انْظُرُوا هَلْ لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ فَيُكَمَّلَ بِهَا مَا انْتَقَصَ مِنَ الْفَرِيضَةِ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ سَائِرُ عَمَلِهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ

Meaning: Verily, the first deed that a servant will be counted on the Day of Judgment is from his prayer. If his prayer is good then he will be happy and successful. If his prayer is bad then he is disappointed and lost. If the obligatory prayers are not perfect, then Allah 'Azza wa Jalla says: Check, does this servant of mine perform the circumcision prayers to make up for the lack of the obligatory prayers. Then it is calculated like this for other practices.

how to be khusyuk in prayer?

1) taharah

• clean and pure from najis and hadas

2) clothing selection

• wear modest and inconspicuous clothes

3) clean the place of prayer

4) there must be fear of Allah

• so that we focus more when praying

5) limit movement in prayer

6) abandon all worldly things

7) toma'ninah

• so as not to rush when praying

things that cause not to be khusyuk in prayer:

1) syubhat

⤷ for example, he feels doubtful whether the clothes, place, or ablution used for prayer are valid or not, this can disturb a person's focus in prayer.

2) doubtful

⤷ appears in the form of the devil's whispers such as disturbing the mind during prayer, for example feeling doubtful about the total number of rak'ahs that have been performed.

in conclusion, we must always strive to improve ourselves and become better, even though faith often fluctuates. But believe this, Allah is with us 24/7, always.

what is zakah ?

literal meaning : Growth, increase, cleanliness, and betterment.

technical meaning : a determined share of wealth prescribed by Allah to be distributed among deserving categories.

differentiates from tax systems : zakah promotes spiritual purification and social responsibility

why it is so important in Islam ?

1) a religious obligation

2) purifies wealth and soul

3) helps the needy and reduces poverty

4) increases barakah

5) protection from punishment

6) strengthens brotherhood and social unity

conclusion

paying zakah is not just about fulfilling an obligation but a spiritual and social act of worship. Besides, it fosters reliance on Allah (Tawakkul) and strengthens brotherhood (Ukhūwwah). Observing Zakah is essential for a harmonious and righteous Muslim community.
