         <description><![CDATA[<div>Isolationism to me means locking down the borders and only focusing on domestic issues. Maybe working with other countries for trade but that’s about it. Interventionism to me is like the US, we are the self acclaimed world police force. We feel a responsibility to everyone around the world who might need assistance and we will leave our own country to make sure they are helped.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Interventionism can be impactful in situations where there’s an authoritarian or oppressive government, but sometimes interventionism goes too far and hurts more than it helps.  In Guatemala the US stepped in due to issues with the United Fruit Company &amp; the Guatemalan president at the time, so they ousted him and replaced him with colonel Castillo, this type of intervention delayed progress in Latin American countries.</div>]]></description>
