Heartbroken from the pain

Wrongly convicted now his fate has shifted 
An innocent black just trying to help now can only yelp

How the  pain of another can be afflicted on the ones that don't deserve

I could not understand what they were thinking 

This caused my frustration to begin leaking  

this wouldnt stop the flow of my tears streaking 

I stopped to think but couldn't believe it  

Tom deserves to be free

what could they have  possibly been thinking

to throw a man in jail for another mans wrongdoing 

How could this be.

While everyone cheered, my face compelled angry tears streaking down my face

Being treated like a feral cat, the pain of annoyance would not leave my veins  

How could they do it, it doesn't make sense

Their decision destroyed a innocent mans life

Tom Robinson did not commit this crime, that altered his future.
