I also think the APS could create a checklist showing decision makers at a glance which online activities will likely help educators further their district’s student learning and improvement goals and which ones are of high enough quality to count as part of the formal learning options considered for professional learning credit.

Finally having a better tool or resource to process, collect, analyze, and share evidence of the actual value of professional learning activities from educators and students. In other words, it is time to evaluate the effectiveness of your work.

In all honesty I think my district could benefit most from starting back at square one with steps 1 and 2. I think my school has great access to technology and now we need to take a step back to see where we are going and how it is going to benefit each student and teacher. I do believe the teachers in my school would benefit from collaborating online with other teachers. Our school is so small that there is only one teacher per subject. Finding someone in your grade level and content area online can be beneficial for all parties involved.

The school district I work at would benefit immensely from something like this. Having clear steps in which district leadership and teachers could share. I believe that Step 3 would be most useful. The suggestion that more time be allotted for collaboration among would be well received. We should be in the evaluation period where we look at how effectively we have made our change within our district.
