Citizens have the right to practice any religion they wish or teach any religion as well. Citizens also have the right to switch religions or beliefs is they also wish to. However, according to the group of women, who are remaining anonymous, they were racially profiled and were forced to leave as soon as the police came. The women claim that their first amendment right of freedom of religion was violated in the events that unfolded. This document discusses the first amendment as it discusses the first amendment.
#ALLRELIGIONSORNONE
#LETTHETRUTHBEHEARD
Resource: WND Exclusive
Date: September 10,2017
http://www.wnd.com/2017/09/muslims-demand-anonymity-as-they-sue-california-cafe/

According to the first amendment, citizens are granted free speech or express any opinions they wish in a peaceful matter. They may also perform free speech without censorship or restraints. In the article entitled "UC Berkeley gears up for Ben Shapiro speech as test run ahead of Milo Yiannopoulos talk", published by Emily Deruy on September 11, 2017 at 3:52 pm, talks about how a Conservative commentator risks the campus UC Berkeley of having another riot. Ben Shapiro is said to speck Thursday,September 14,2017 and has been threatened to be shut down by a group that calls themselves "Refuse Fascism". Ironically the speech is about how free speech and how people should not protest against one's beliefs as it's a constitutional right. Police are said to protect students rights at attending his speech without being stopped by protesters. This article describes the first amendment as it describes people violating people's first amendment right.
#LETBENBEHEARD
#RIGHTSFORALL
Resource: The Mercury News
Date: September 11,2017 3:52pm
http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/09/11/uc-berkeley-gears-up-for-ben-shapiro-speech-as-test-run-ahead-of-milo-yiannopoulos-talk/

The first amendment guarantees freedom of the press in which the media is allowed to post anything as long as it's not a lie or ruins someones reputation. This has been an ongoing debate as some are wondering if "fake news" should be considered freedom of the press. In the article "Hurricane Irma: Not everybody falls for fake news", it shows how a fake facebook live video showed fake footage of Hurricane Irma and fooled a lot of people up to news sources. This came in a debate as people wondered if this is even considered real news or freedom of the press. People are even posting fake photos from other storms claiming it's the after math of Hurricane Irma. This even fooled the director of social for trump who later deleted the tweet of a fake photo of hurricane Irma.
#STOPFAKENEWS
#DON'TBEFOOLED
Resource: BBC News
Date: September 11,2017
http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-41224792

The first amendment protects everyone's right to freedom of assembly as long as it's peaceful. Voltaire summarized this amendment best when he stated, "I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it." In the article entitled, "Steve Bannon to speak at 'Free Speech Week' event at UC Berkeley", it discusses a peaceful event of certain conservative speakers to attend this event. However this event has gotten many threats to be shut down just because people disagree with their views. Anyone with knowledge of the bill of rights knows that it is every citizens right to peacefully assemble and is not against the law. People's first amendment right of freedom of assembly is being violated here because they are not be given the same opportunity to assemble. A famous speaker to attend the event is Steve Bannon, who thinks it's ironic how a "free speech event" is getting threatened and not allowing them to express their rights.
#SPEECHISSPEECH
#CAN'TBESILENCED
Resource: BBC news
Date: September 12,2017 3:05PM
http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-steve-bannon-free-speech-uc-berkeley-20170912-story.html

Citizens are guaranteed the right to make a petition against whatever they believe is unjust or things that should happen. In the article entitled, "Alaska teens petition for statewide climate change policy", it talks about how a group of teenagers fear the climate change is putting their state at risk as the ice caps are melting at a high rate. The petition is said to get the attention of the Department of Environmental Conservation's commissioner. They hope that they will pay more attention to the current situation with the climate and hope they will tighten laws. According to the teens, this is not the first time they have tried to pressure the government so that they can change their climate change policies. The government has up until September 29th, to respond to the petition.
#STOPCLIMATECHANGE
#SAVETHEWORLD
Resource: ABC News
Date: September 12,2017 11:37 AM
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/alaska-teens-petition-statewide-climate-change-policy-49788192
