ILT is an opportunity for leaders of each department to share best teaching practices and make building-based decisions regarding instruction that we will report back to the teachers in our respective departments. ILT meetings will help ensure consistency regarding teaching and learning throughout each department.

There isn't a space for interdisciplinary discussion currently in the school (i.e. a Faculty lounge). While the Culinary room has offered space, it doesn't seem to be utilized. ILT is one of the few times where representatives from all departments are available to discuss issues of culture or standards in schools. Yesterday we talked about Turnitin, and really we need to start having more conversations regarding software and expectations that need to be met across the board. If we want students to be digital citizens and to display academic integrity, students should be held to the same standards and procedures regardless of which class they are in. The ILT could potentially develop PD around this so that there is some standardization.
