They prevent air pollution by reducing gasoline, electricity and plastic use.

 The initiative aims to foster and celebrate environmental respect, action and behavior change that lessens our impact on the earth. 

Earth Day in Canada has morphed into Earth Week and even Earth Month to handle the number of events and projects, such as Victoria’s Earth Walk, Edmonton’s Earth Day Festival at Hawrelak Park (30,000 participants), Ontario’s Waterways Clean-up, a large, star-studded Toronto Gala, plus the thousands of small, private events staged by schools, employee groups and community groups.

Los Angeles is a city in the state of California, and is the second largest city in the entire United States by the number of its residents, after New York City. The city is located on the western coast of the United States, in Los Angeles County, Southern California.

The theme for Earth Day 2019 is Protect Our Species. In Los Angeles people will participate in Earth Day by marching, signing petitions, planting trees, and cleaning up beaches and roads.

Earth day in Denmark  will be held at Christiansborg Castle Square in Copenhagen on April 22th 2020. 

Will drum-playing, aimed at all four corners of the world. will be speeches, activities and music, discuss the importance of uniting to protect the planet.. 

Everyone can participate. 

In order to help the earth people will use science and its knowledge to benefit society, as long as it is not manipulated politically.

 Earth day in Cyprus 

Every year on April 22^nd Cyprus has a huge festival (in cooperation with the Limassol Municipality) to celebrate Earth day. The festival takes place in Molos Park and it helps promote and celebrate Earth in Cyprus. The festival has various workshops relating to the environment, music, healthy food & drinks, activities for children, and tables of environmentally friendly products. In addition, at the festival the people of Cyprus plant flowers and trees and clean the streets and parks of Cyprus to help the Earth and the environment.

Earth Day In Italy 

Every year in Italy, Naples, the residents celebrate "Earth Day", but  in different ways from other countries. They begin with a concert at their theater and listen to a beautiful show of the talented singer Anggun.  At the event the  Minister of the Environment comes and make a speech. The goal of this event is to raise awareness to people's behavior to the environment and how much it is important to protect it.

Did you know that in California Earth day isn't just a day? It’s a whole month full of activities and events! 

There are more than 20 different activities of eco events & festivals in which you can volunteer and celebrate the earth, a few of them are: beach cleanup, nature hike and kid's earth day celebration. The activities took place all over the country and people all around California volunteered. At the end of the month, Californian beaches were cleaner, new trees were planted and a lot of people had fun in all of the festivals and came out with a new, deeper appreciation towards the earth. 

The Earth and its ecosystems are our home. In order to achieve a just balance among the economic, social, and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is necessary to promote harmony with nature and the Earth. 

International Mother Earth Day is  celebrated to remind each of us that the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance 

Trashan Fashan, Recycled Fashion Show - San Francisco, CA, USA: 

there will be two fashion shows: 

One of the fashion show of children's clothing ; collection of clothing made from healthy and environmentally friendly materials that traded fair trade and green lifestyle. 

In the second, clothing from recycled materials prepared by school children from the area will be presented as costumes for school performances, party clothes and clothing for artists they admire as Lady Gaga known for her exaggerated outfits. 

The exhibitions will take place one after the other at the Mother Earth stage as part of a host of gigs and a huge Earth Day celebration. In the park you will also find performances by a number of DJs and bands from all over the world .

We think having a bike race to raise awareness of environmental pollution is a charming but not enough,because That you aren't really doing anything that can help the earth (like planting trees that can increase the oxygen content in the air) because in one day or another you will be back in the car.

 

The country we choose Brazil. 

In Brazil, there is a tradition to teach the younger people how to develop important actions in the environment movement. 

For example in school gardens at Emeb Aura Soares, the students planet pumpkins, corn ,gourds and sunflowers were among the planet. After this the students follow the process to see these plants grow!
