However, there were many problems in Germany. For example, the Germans were struggling to pay the allies war reparations, so the Germans started printing money. The thing was, printing money doesn't really give you any money. It just makes money less valuable. Then the currency crashed. Which gave Hitler the opportunity to take the government. Short story: He got arrested. He decided to run for president. He did really well (~36%), but still lost to the popular Paul Von Hindenburg(~53%). Hindenburg died and there was another disaster for Germany. The Great Depression. America was taxing the imports for the stock market crash on black Tuesday. German unemployment was soaring... which gave Hitler yet ANOTHER perfect opportunity to take over the government. He started a political party called the NAZI. It took a long time but, finally, the NAZI were the leading party. Hitler was now in control. A dictator to be exact. He blamed the Jews for all their problems and their loss of world war 1. Soon, his aggressive actions would drag the world into a second major global conflict. also known as
