I always like the visuals. I think it was really helpful to take a step out and think about systems. This presentation sparked people's creativity in how they can communicate about climate as witnessed to the convos happening in the chat. I was thinking making climate bracelets would appeal to many age groups and learner types.

(i don't know if this meets the prompt to "write something beautiful", but here goes...)

I felt a strong sense of belonging -- maybe that's a corollary to or byproduct of "collective action". It was affirming to be with a bunch of other folks who are actively working on this big challenge.

Hearing how other people approach the opportunity inspires me to look for new avenues and enhance what I already know.

more "how"

We receive a lot of what and why, which is crucial context -- and I'm not saying we don't need it. But it's not always easy to find the path from that to execution. Seeing more examples of the "what" in action, along with how those assets were created, would accelerate our ability to put these ideas into action for ourselves.

After reviewing John’s presentation, I realized how beautiful, dynamic and really well designed it is. I really enjoyed how he mixed different media like images and mpegs to keep the slideshow interesting. Also the way he presented data through graphs, etc. had a lot of energy. Here is a screenshot of my favorite slide, where John shows us that we are a Community of Practice.

John's presentation was fabulous! I plan on watching it again. The part about micro dosing really resonated with me.... The idea that I can't solve Climate Change in one presentation but I can weave it into all the stories I am telling.

I really enjoyed the tools and data maps John presented especially showing how the Systems are interconnected. Its really cool to see the real-life examples and also play around with data to see futuristic models. As a playful GIS mapper I would definitely utilize these tools into my research! Good Job John!

Iterations and refinement

Listening to the presentation it's easy to hear the the many years of best practices, trials, and iterations. My journey into climate communication came from The Climate Reality Project Training. It was my first taste in being in a regionally specific climate training; truly emphasizing the importance of community based learning.

I especially liked the overview of types of communication vs types of learners. The concept of catering to various learning styles is always in the back of my mind and I appreciated the break down.
