Media Studies BH (Hons)

Investigate all aspects of media theory and practice, from broadcast media to cyberspace. Develop your practical skills and your knowledge to become an all-round professional in today’s fast-moving media. 

Assesment - 
You’ll show your progress through many different methods that reflect the range of skills required by employers. Your assignments might include case studies, critical essays, screenplays, journals, film reviews and analyses, presentations, and a portfolio of practical work, as well as ‘hands on’ assignments such as internet, print and video production / commissions.

Relevant for my future progression?
This is a course i definetly am interested in. I researched into the course modules and they are fit for what  want to go into in the future, However i am more interested in working in the socal media industry  and this courses modules are mostly based around journalism, radio and television. It does look intersting but isnt something i see myself enjoying for two years.

3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above.

Digital Media BH (Hons)

Be part of the digital content revolution. Digital advertising agencies, online businesses and social media need people who can design engaging and innovative digital content. Use industry standard software to explore the creative capabilities of interactive design, video, digital photography, web design, mobile apps, sound design, user interfaces and digital animation. 

Assesment - 
Our modules allow you to demonstrate your progress by producing coursework to set projects, and formal briefs. At the end of each semester you’ll submit design work for practice-based modules, and a written document for contextual/theoretical modules. These will then be graded and you’ll receive written feedback.
You’ll also receive on going feedback on your design project concepts and develop your learning in taught sessions, one-to-one discussions, project reviews, peer to peer feedback and group critiques.

Relevant for my future progression?
This course looks interesting and some modules that stand out to me are photography and web design. Other than that, it doesnt seem to interest me as it focuses in the history of media and debates and practices. A lot of the modues are things that wouldnt interest me nor would i want to work with in the future. I am a  very creative  person and the modues offerered here are are lot of assignments i prefer to present my work through presenations. 

Entry Requirements - 
80-96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent), including Grade C in Art, Design or Media subject.
3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths, at least one Design Subject or Media Subject is preferred.

The modules are mosly based around culture and soiety. The modules dont interest me as i am very has on and creative.

Entry requirements - 64 UCAS tariff points. Required subject(s): 2 A levels in related subjects. BTEC/Access required: a BTEC National or a full Access Certificate in a related subject. GCSEs required: 3 GCSEs at grade C or above in English, Mathematics and Science.
