When Rosa Marie burger started working and earning money she bought her mom a radio. Despite listening to foreign radio stations being illegal after September 1, 1939 her mother still listened to BBC news sharing it to other Jews. If Rosa never bought this radio, they would've never known anything about what was happening outside Germany which is very important to them.

One night during the war Rosa Marie burger took refuge with 20 or 25 other people in a cellar of a neighboring farmer. In the morning Soldiers arrived in the area. Since Rosa was able to speak English, she approached them. She asked them If they needed anything, they gave her chocolate bars in exchange for fresh eggs from the farmers wife. This was a very brave action considering the fact anything could've happened to her.

Though buying a radio for her mom was amazing at the time since she was able to spread information to other jews, it ended up getting her mom reported causing her to never see her mom again. Another impact was because she was able to speak english, she helped with situations such as working with americans that other germans/jews couldn't understand. Although, when she left germany she had to leave her mother but she was able to grow her own family there, and her daughter was the one to spread her story.
